The Day
A wonderful experience for food lovers, bringing you a fabulous journey through workshops, with real down to earth, unpretentious, practical recipes and ideas. A chance to take time out with family or friends and enjoy a culinary pamper day. Food and Company can accommodate "up to thirty guests" so there is a great opportunity to mingle with others throughout the day.
Food and Company Demonstrations
Food and Company demonstrators, Joan and Margaret will guide you through this unique day which begins with coffee at 10.30 am followed by the cookery demonstration at 11.00 am. Throughout the demonstration you will have an opportunity to taste lots of delicious foods relating to the theme of the day, together with the dishes we produce and there will be a specially compiled recipe card for you to take home. Afterwards you can relax in the beautiful surroundings of Mirehouse with an aperitif, followed by a freshly prepared buffet lunch.
Special Guest Demonstrations
Enjoy this rare opportunity as we welcome special guest demonstrators from far and wide, to share their specialised knowledge and skills with you. The day begins with coffee at 10.30 am followed by the cookery demonstration at 11.00 am. There will be a specially compiled recipe card for you to take home and lots of opportunities to taste the dishes of the day. Afterwards you can relax in the beautiful surroundings of Mirehouse with an aperitif, followed by a freshly prepared buffet lunch. Please note the timings may be different on some courses.
Seasonal Flower Workshops in The Pigeon House Studio
We invite you to come and experience these unique Seasonal Flower Workshops in the Pigeon House at Mirehouse, which is situated in a corner of the Victorian Veranda and has access to the terraced gardens.
We run fun, informal and creative workshops and will show you how to fill your house with quick and simple seasonal flower arrangements. Choose from one of our " readymade " days or create your own bespoke day and prove that Flowers are Fun!
This is a day to be booked by a group of six friends on weekdays to suit yourselves.
Please note access to the Pigeon House Loft is via steep stone steps and the workshop is situated below.
