2012 Brochure...  

 The new Food and Co brochure has gone to press and we hope to have it in the post to you by mid February; if you are not on our mailing list, please e-mail details to us via the website or pick up the phone so that we can add your details. We do hope that there will be something for every one and hope to see you at Mirehouse this season.          

Sushi and Champagne - July 2011

This is hopefully to be the first of many successful workshops to happen at Food & Company; expertly led by Jah Powell the group of eager sushi fans created a feast to take home to share with friends and family.
After morning coffee, the group watched Jah prepare all the ingredients and give informed advice on the methods used aswell as the culture behind sushi, everyone dispersed to work stations and encouraged each other to get started on the task.

With a little practise and support from Jah the creative side of food was in full swing; lobster, tuna, prawns, brightly coloured peppers, crisp cucumber, along with our seasoned sushi rice and sheets of nori enabled us to make sushi better than you would buy in any supermarket.

After all the hard work a well chilled glass of champagne was enjoyed in the lovely gardens of Mirehouse, lunch and coffee followed to end the day.    

This was a great "hands on" workshop and Food & Company hope to repeat the course in 2012.
