Cumbria represents food full of character and flavour – come and savour these qualities on this course. Local produce and local traditions of cooking are not just of nostalgic interest, but they cut deep into the social history and our surroundings.
We will use a range of seasonal foods that have been reared and grown by committed and enthusiastic producers. Cumbria has rich pickings for food enthusiasts, a county of diversity from the sea to the fells.
Only too often in this supermarket age, we think all produce universally available and equally good, this course is a reminder that it is not so!
Recipes to include Shrimp Risotto, Penrith Peppered Lamb, Baked Crofton Stumpies, Cumberland Rum Nicky and Grasmere style Gingerbread
